THE ONE MAN MUSICAL! È difficile descrivere con una sola parola o un aggettivo lo show di Michele Tomatis. Bisogna assistere ad un suo spettacolo per capire la molteciplità di arti che, dagli esordi del 1997 ad oggi, ha saputo con esperienza mettere insieme. Lo spettacolo può essere infatti considerato UNICO nel suo genere: un mix di musica live, ballo, videoproiezioni 3D, veloci cambi di costume e coinvolgimento.
Tomatis ama definire ogni sua esibizione come “un varietà musicale degli anni 2000” che, grazie alla sua duttilità, può conquistare ogni genere di pubblico in più contesti: teatro, dinnershow, casinò, piazze, conventions aziendali e feste private.
Lo show sperimenta le interazioni dell’artista con i propri cloni virtuali proiettati su di un imponente scenografia costituita da più maxischermi. Colonna sonora dei sui spettacoli è un repertorio musicale cover scelto fra le hit degli ultimi 50 anni rigorosamente eseguite dal vivo. A seconda delle situazioni e del tipo di spettacolo, l’artista è anche accompagnato da una live band di 7 elementi.
Vista la vastità del repertorio, per soddisfare le differenti situazioni di pubblico ogni anno gli spettacoli vengono rinnovati nei costumi e nelle musiche, dando così vita a show sempre innovativi e in continua evoluzione.
THE ONE MAN MUSICAL! It is difficult to describe just what Michele Tomatis’ show is all about in one single word or adjective. You really need to see it to understand the multitude of art forms which he puts together, thanks to his experience and successful career, spanning from 1997 until today. The show can be considered truly UNIQUE in its category, being a mix of: live music, dance, video projections, quick costume changes and audience participation; which, due to its flexibility and variety, conquers every type of audience member. Tomatis likes to call every performance “a musical variety show of the 2000s”.
The show experiments with the concept of virtual interaction between the artist and his virtual clones, which are projected into a giant screen made of elastic. This screen is part of the massive set design and is coupled with an expansive repertoire of top hit, music covers from the last 40 years, all performed live.
Today, the total stage hours that this performer has clocked up are countless, considering that the average number of shows performed a year, between performances in Italy and overseas, are well over a hundred. Given the vastness of the repertoire, using and applying the “MT method” has made it possible to create 3 completely different shows, each with their own concept, in order to satisfy every kind of audience. Each year the project is renewed through new costume designs and of course new musical repertoire, giving life to shows which are innovative and always evolving: GRAND MUSICAL HOTEL, ITALIANO and IT’S SHOW TIME!
